Hey duders, Neu Disco has just gotten an update: it’s now free! AKA there really is no excuse to not get down to the Cardinal. Plus, this week’s Neu Disco (Friday, March 26th) features 2 local DJs: Nick Nice & (newcomer) Fuzzy Duck.
Nick has been DJing for years, and he has residencies all over Madison from Chilldale to Maduro. To be humble, Nick is the man when it comes to DJing (as I listen to him make a perfect transition between Kenny Dope and something else on my computer). Simply put, he spins anything and everything, and it works. A good example of this is his live set for the Grand Re-Opening of the Cardinal Bar — it’s an amazing, fluid, and smooth 5 hour set. I was there, and still I’ve listened to it after the fact a number of times, doesn’t get old.
Along with Nick Nice, Fuzzy Duck will also be DJing. So, when I said “newcomer” up top I meant that yeah, he just made his Madison DJ debut at last month’s iQ at Plan B, but that doesn’t mean that he hasn’t already begun to make a mark on the city (AKA iQ is kind of a big deal 
). Plus, if you need more of a preview he has a bunch of mixes up on his Fuzzy Ducklings group on facebook — I’m digging his “Stash Bash” mix (mp3 + mediafire). In my eyes, you can’t really go wrong with a stash.
